Founded in October of 2003 by experienced agents Sam Bowers and Buddy Burns, Bowers and Burns Real Estate Company specializes in farm land, timber land, recreational tracts and transitional land, as well as horse farms, pasture land, equestrian estates and property for commercial development. We are licensed in Georgia and Alabama and cover Coweta County, Meriwether County, Heard County, Troup County, Monroe County and Upson County to name just a few. Sam Bowers, president, is an Accredited Land Consultant and an experienced real estate professional starting in 1988. A farmer since 1976, he studied agricultural economics at the University of Georgia and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
Sam, a lifetime Million Dollar Club member, serves on the board of directors of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors, the Coweta County Farm Bureau, Coweta-Fayette Trust Operation Round-up along with Coweta County Board of Zoning Appeals. 2006 President of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors and past president of the Georgia Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute and of the Coweta Cattlemen's Association. He is also a member of Georgia Association of Realtors and Georgia MLS. In 2005 he served on the Coweta County Impact Fee Advisory Committee. In 2004 he was named "Realtor of the Year" for all of Coweta County.
A lifetime resident of Newnan, Sam has a vast knowledge of current market values and strives to secure the best sale or purchase prices for his clients, whom he also assists in such areas as finance, leasing and land management.

Buddy Burns, vice-president, is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he studied timber management and wildlife biology. His real estate experience covers all aspects of residential and commercial transactions, and he specializes in land sales and development.
Buddy has called Newnan home since 1969. He is a Leadership Coweta graduate, past president of Newnan-Coweta Ducks Unlimited and a member of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors, Georgia MLS and Realtors Land Institute. He currently serves on the Coweta County Hospital Authority board of directors and is a District Supervisor for West Georgia Soil and Water Conservation established in 1938. In his spare time he coaches youth baseball and basketball.
Also a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club, Buddy is an expert on the intricacies of city and county statutes, and he strives to ensure that his clients secure maximum return on their properties.

Jim Hutchinson, agent, attended the University of Georgia and holds a degree in business management from the State University of West Georgia. For two decades, he has served the Senoia community through his generations-old family business, Hutchinson Hardware until 2006.
Born and raised in Senoia, Jim will use his detailed knowledge of the area and its people to help educate sellers and buyers on the best potential uses of their properties. He is a member of Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors, Realtors Land Institute, Georgia Association of Realtors and Georgia MLS. 2006 he was asked to serve as a member of the Senoia Downtown Development Authority.

Tom Touchstone, agent, is a graduate of the University of Georgia and has resided in Coweta County since 1977. Touchstone uses his expertise as an active Certified General property appraiser. Since 1988 he has been appraising land, commercial, industrial and residential properties in the southern and western metro Atlanta region which is invaluable in his present position in real estate sales.
As co-owner of Dunaway Appraisal Services, his appraisal experience has served thousands of clients including banks, mortgage companies, individuals, attorneys, federal agencies, counties and municipalities. Tom has extensive real estate appraisal education with the Appraisal Institute completing MAI candidacy courses enabling him to assist his clients in pricing property, Highest and Best Use analysis, investment analysis, estate settlement and mortgage lending among various other purposes. As an appraiser, Tom maintains perhaps one of the most comprehensive land and commercial sales databases in the surrounding Coweta County area which will be extremely useful to him as a Realtor® specializing in land and commercial sales.
Tom is a member of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors, GAR, NAR, RLI and Georgia MLS. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church and in his spare time coaches youth baseball, enjoys golf and the outdoors.

Brian Sheppard , joined the "Bowers & Burns" team in December 2006. Brian is a wildlife food plot consultant and is based in Pine Mountain, GA. His 18 month internship under Dr. Gary Schwarz on the Tecomate Ranch in South Texas focused on food plots and dry-land farming for intensive deer management. He is a QDMA member and regular contributor to the Quality Whitetails magazine. Brian grew up in Northwest Florida where he attended Okaloosa-Walton Community College.
Brian's training is a value in assessing recreational properties. As a realtor, Brian is a member of National Assoc. of Realtors, Georgia Assoc. of Realtors, Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors and GA MLS. Sheppard also holds a Real Estate license in the State of Alabama.

Lisle Bowers, a lifelong Coweta County resident, has been a top producer in sales and listings for many years. Lisle specializes in farms, land and homes with acreage. He also actively brokers commercial properties. His expertise and experience will be invaluable as a veteran realtor since 1972. Lisle is a member of the National Assoc. of Realtors, Georgia Assoc. of Realtors, Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors and GA MLS.
Lisle is active in the community, with more than 20 years of service as a member of the Coweta County Board of Education. Lisle and his wife June have three grown children and four grandchildren. Lisle and his wife reside in Senoia.
